Kentucky CancerLink currently has funding provided by the Kentucky Colon Cancer Screening and Prevention Program (KCCSP) through the Kentucky Department for Public Health to provide NO-COST at home screenings for those who meet eligibility requirements.
– Age 45-75
–Average Risk (no bleeding, no change in bowel habits, no significant family history, no history of polyps
– Uninsured (or have insurance that does not cover preventive screening tests)
– Kentucky Resident (must have a Social Security Number)
-Financial eligibility is based on INDIVIDUAL income. Maximum individual income is $47,880 (may be higher if you have dependents and no other income). Speak with a patient navigator about your options.
* Shield is an FDA approved test. The blood draw can be completed at any healthcare provider visit. No special preparation is needed prior to your blood collection.
*Cologuard is an FDA approved at-home colon screening test. No special preparation is needed prior to your stool collection.
Only patients that receive a Cologuard Plus™ or Shield Blood Test™ through the Kentucky Colon Cancer Screening and Prevention Program and receive a positive result are eligible to receive a NO-COST colonoscopy.
